Burgundian Halbardiers - completed

So they've been a little while acoming, but I've finished the basing on the second pole-armed unit of Burgundian Ordonnance - which completes the two planned contingents of this type.

The background to the painting and flags for this unit have been covered in an earlier post. I ended up not changing any of the positions of the figures; I fiddled around but they seemed to work OK and the 'Italianates' carrying the shields add a slightly different dimension to this group.

Next posting should be something a little higher up the medieval social structure....

  6. Tremendous stuff, Simon. The painting is awesome, as always, but I love the sense of forward momentum in the unit.

This whole Burgundian Wars thing has been an interest for me ever since, and seeing your excellent rendition doesn't help fighting the urge to finally get me some models for this…

  11. Good work, the positioning is spot on and the group really have an integral unit feel about them - some rather characterful expressions in there too.
